Great knife, looks like a real winner. The vine pattern file work sets it off nicely. How in the #^** did you inlay the handle? Good job. Terry

Gib,
You don't see that use of turquoise everyday and that filework is something else - very nice!

Another winner Gib. Like the combo, it makes a good package. I still haven't figured how you grind the turquoise, Is it soft enough to grind on the belt grinder and what kind of belt do you need?

Thanks for the coments Guys. The inlay is turquoise
chips you get it at Rio Grande 1-800-545-6566, the
way you do it is to use a small burr to open up a
defect in the wood, if you don't know about ironwood
and defects you haven't cut ironwood from the log,
you cut a lot of wood to get a few good pieces and
crackes and voids are a fact of life. You just don't
know what you will find when you start to finish it.
I just open it up and sprinle the turquoise in the
slot and then using super glue to secure it, then
grind and polish it out. Peter, the spacer is recon
stone and is cut and finished with wood working tools.
I grind to at least 265g and buff witlh matchless
white and white diamond.

Gib
