Here is one that I will be sending out tomorrow. My client sent me drawing of what he had in mind. I really liked the drawing so here is my interpretation of the drawing...
The blade is 10" of forged W2. I was real happy with the hamon as there is utsuri, ashi lines, noi and nie all present on the blade. The guard is stainless steel with a copper spacer. The handle is a really nice piece of Ringed Gidgee from my stash. The grain on this one follows the curvature of the handle almost perfectly. This one is very light and quick in the hand. The overall length is 15 1/8".

That is great looking as a whole. Lately that particular recurve shape has been very attractive to me on knives. The handle looks very comfortable and well shaped.

Maybe save it for the Micro Show?;)

Micro Show is a year away.....bank account is much closer:D That is really cool. Did you grind the recurve or did you do it in the quench?

LOVE the recurve blade. LOVE the hamon. LOVE the contoured handle. LOVE the wood. NOT sure I'm stuck on the slanted guard, but others will dig it, I'm sure.

Great work overall.

One of the finest in that style I've seen so far!!! Overall flow, including the guard, is really outstanding IMHO!!!!
Would love to see a closeup of the hamon, but I know how difficult that can be... Terrific knife!!! :D
If you don't mind, I'm gonna keep a copy of the pics on this one... I may even want one like it more than the Slim Pickens!!! :D

I was really happy with this one and the way it turned out. I think that the overall design lends itself well to also be upsized or downsized . The recurve is not real extreme so it isn't too hard to sharpen. I really like the way that it performed during the testing I put it through before I finished out the blade.
I have really nice stash of the ringed gidgee that I purchased about a year ago and have just started using. This was the first piece that I used and I really liked working with it and the way that it looks once it is all polished.

Could you email or message me the general price range of a knife like that? Once again, this came out wonderfully. Nice job.

It's going to be a happy day for the customer when he picks that beauty up.

Received it today, it is fantastic, light, quick, great hamon and wood. Craig sure makes a nice knife.
