After trial after trial, I have finally found my Perfect EDC. I have a Leatherman Blast on my belt and a Spyderco Native clipped to my right front pocket and a Buck 371 Stockman that I got today, in my left front pocket. I love this combo. Although I would like to add that I would rather have a Leatherman Wave instead of the Blast but the Blast is a good tool and its not as heavy. Ill get the Wave when I get the money. Oh and I still carry a Victorinox on my keychain. I cant leave out the Swiss knives, I love em.

Congrats,

I hope I never find my perfect EDC :D, having too much fun.

oh yeah sorry about not mentioning the flash light. I have 2 on me all of the time. I have a mag solitare around my neck and a rayovac pen light that I carry in my shirt pocket. Also I have a small Bic lighter that I carry in my pocket also.

Perfect EDC, yeah that's what I said 20 knives ago.

I can see carrying a folder and a multitool but I'm less clear on the second folder. I'm wondering what niche it fills that the first folder doesn't. Do you carry a Native and Stockman for different cutting situations or different social situations. Or do you just carry both for fun in which case:thumbup:.

I really thought I had the perfect EDC a few months back but it wasn't the case. I like rotation and I think its great, but if you found the perfect set up good for you, you will save lots of money.

Well, I carry two knives at all time, sometimes three. All for different tasks. An Emerson combat kerambit IWB. A tough knife is my main carry, like my Sebenza or Strider. Sometimes I carry both the Sebbie and Strider simply because I might want to fondle both of them sometime throughout the day!:D

Honestly I carry both of the folders more just for fun I guess. I like the one handed operation of the Native and the Buck has a great sheep foot blade that I can use alot. I just like em both. Im a knife nut and I just like having 2 on me at all times, besides my multitool. I will rotate the multitool with a swiss huntsman or my swiss champ plus somtimes and in my pocket ill rotate the Buck for a Farmer some. I like my swiss knives.

I love the excitement of finding the new perfect edc. Then I feel the embarassment of foot in mouth syndrome as I get my next perfect edc. But Congrats for you! :D

thats a lot of blade dude, gratz on finding your setup. i generally prefer to carry no multitools or slipjoints these days, not even a little swiss on my keychain. just a single lightweight, 1-3.5 in single bladed knife.

Really? You've found the perfect EDC for you? It will never happen for me. To much fun going through all the different knives that I could use..

A big one and a small one. The big one for folks who are comfortable around sharp objects. The small one for sheeple. My EDC rotation consists of one big one and one small one for said reason.
Some people will just never be comfortable around knives.

I hear everyone on the rotation thing. I was doing that for a while, then noticed I had slipped into a steady routine, and might have just stumbled on the perfect setup (for me):
BM943
Vic Swisstool Spirit
Boker Wharcom.

Pretty much covers all the bases. Add a keychain LED, and occasionally a SAK classic (although this doesn't come along as much anymore now that I have my Spirit), and I'm good to go.
That being said, I have been looking at various slippies recently. Guess the search ain't over yet!
