You can't find any informations about this Vanguard.
I think the grooves are after market custom made.
But they are well done. Nice find!

Those finger grooves are not factory. As they are very deep and likely done by a separate craftsman. DM

They did make one with a longer blade.

that size blade makes the 192 a much more useful, for me, knife. gorgeous examples Sir of both models.

Yes, it has a very secure feel to it. The longer bladed 192 with burl is very nice, add finger grooves to that and Buck would have a real winner.

Browning made something vaguely similar, the 538, which sadly is not of the same quality and was made in China
