First attempt at a friction folder

I thought I would try a friction folder. It has intergral liners and bolsters made from 7075 T-6 aluminum, .125" thick CPM-154CM blade and carbon fiber graphite scales. It is 10 1/4" overall, a real handful but not heavy, feels real good in the hand. I need to weigh it when I get somewhere I can. It was fun and my design lets me move into button locks next and then an automatic version. The photographer (me) didn't do this one any favors:)
Thanks and God Bless!
Jim

Damn, Jim! That looks more like your 1000th attempt at a friction folder! Nice work, very clean with great lines. I love it!

Thanks Guys!!!!! I am out in the shop today to see if I can take it to the next step and make the same basic pattern with a button lock.

Definitely not your standard friction folder; I believe that is the fancies/most detailed I have seen.

Very nice!

Looks great. I don't understand why there are not a lot more friction folder styles out there, although I have seen those on BF.
