Hi yall just got back from the walmart with my first buck it is a Buck 379 solo its not very sharp but I know a guy who will sharpen it for me I'm very happy with it overall all feedback is welcome:thumbup:

no he is my dads friend and sharpens knives for me for free[ soon its gonna be me who sharpens them Im buying a kit

i have had good luck with my lansky
some like a sharp master
i also learned to free hand sharp real well
i am glad you are going to learn
some times a dull one gets by them

You will be happy with it. They are sharper than most out of the box but you can get them sharper. I hope Trax doesn't flip over this.
