hiya,

Pretty excited about my first forged blade which is being hammered out as we speak (hopefully)... :D

It's called the Bearded Tactical and its by a young maker called Derek Goodson. Derek forges the old school way over a coal-fired forge. Its being made of 0-1 tool steel. Handles the same as the pic - black linen micarta. OAL is 9,5inches with a 5,5 inch blade.

I've specified a different sheath though - black leather with a large Tek-lok and a foldover stud clasp to secure the knife.

Whaddaya think?

That's a very cool-looking knife and sheath. Let us know your thoughts when you get your mits on it.

Thanks guys... I want to carry the knife concealed, so I've asked for a different sheath, more low-profile, with a Tek-lok.

Derek was very obliging... he's also going to polish it with 1200 grit paper, for extra smooth finish, as I was a bit concerned about 0-1 rusting (I live near the coast).
