Very Nice! I'm liking Spalted Maple the more I see it. Fit looks very tight and you have a great finish on the blade.

I find the guard is overwhelming the knife visually though.

Very nice piece Rusty. I dig that maple. Handle contours look really good. Hope to see more of your stuff.

Particularly on a knife with a very pronounced dropped edge, my preference is to see the guard centered relative to the width of the blade, rather than the ricasso. Not a flaw on your part, just the way I happen to like it.

All the best,

Roger

I like the knife a lot, but would like it even better with a longer blade, or one that is somewhat narrower. I think it would give it a more balanced appearance. The workmanship looks to be excellent.

Nice work. I think I'd prefer the blade shaped a bit differently toward the front half but it's a good job all around, that's some killer spalted maple...

Very nice piece Rusty. Always love Spalted Maple.
Not particularly crazy about the blade or handle shape individually,
but they really complement each other in the overall.

Don't be a stranger and post more of your work.

Thanks to all for the comments. I haven't been doing this long and have alot to learn but I enjoy the hell out of it. Again thanks.

I'd agree. Overall, it's still a great looking knife. I love the fact that you included a blade guard. I wish more folks would add one to a bushcraft type knife. I don't have much experience with wood handled knives but that Spalted Maple looks reallllly nice.

Congrats on a great knife and keep us posted on new ones.
