I quite like the non-cataloged version. First one isn't bad either, but I prefer a more Japanese styled tanto. The second one looks to be an awesome cutter with that curved belly.

It's not a recurve because it doesn't swoop like an "S." There's a distinct downward curve from left to right, followed by the drop point.

Agreed. The non-cat variation is one of my favorite blade styles.

Well, I was down like Charlie Brown for the Piston and the Knockout before the handle material change...They're still going to be mighty fine looking blades, so I'll have to get those in hand before passing judgment or anything drastic like that.

EDIT: If it's any consolation, I'm loving the RAM I just got. :thumbup:

I love RJs designs. they are good looking blades and i like the texture do the G10 and the pocket clips. Simple and texturing goes a long way.
