Well, after thinking about things for a while and the responses I received in my Bring Back the Q thread I went ahead and ordered the Almite R2 in Spyderedge from New Graham and am really excited about it. Actually I ordered 2 because I am going to combine this with a SAK Hiker, Swedish Firesteel and Ranger Knives RD7 to put together a wildnerness gift package for a close friend, but I had to have my own Spydie as well. The wait is killing me. Also, does anyone know what Almite is, and could you explain what it does? Thanks for the info.

Look up the R2 Grey model on www.spyderco.com . There's an explanation of Almite. If I remember correctly, the handle is aluminium and is covered by a protective Almite coating.

Just got the knife today, and it's Fantastic. I love the skeletonized handle, and ordered the Spyderedge, which is really cool as far as serrations go. I also like the fact that it's a traditional lockback. I've got several linerlocks and enjoy them as well, but there's just something about the old style that I really like. Basically it reminds me of a Endura with a more robust handle. The only thing I don't really like is the pocket clip. Does anyone know what size driver I need to get it off? Thanks a lot New Graham and Spyderco.

New Graham is a great place to do business with. I just got my 80mm Manix from them :D.

You're right about NGK, This is my fourth or fifth time dealing with them, and it's always been flawless. Speedy delivery and excellent service.
