Comment and suggestions welcome,I have only been building for a month so take it easy:p

Acouple inches longer on the blade and a little steeper angle on the tanto point and you'd really have something there.

I like the satin finish and the chisel ground blade.

Keep up the good work.

I think I'd grind the left side of the blade the same as the right. And yes, a longer blade. 6" would be about perfect. Looks like it's full tang, if so, that's a big plus.

Don't get discouraged, for a first try, you're in the ballpark.

Search the Knifemakers forums there is a thread there that gives handle to blade length proportions. It is a guideline but you will find that most cool looking blades follow the measurements given.

True. Think you will find that a 4-1/2 to 5" handle/grip will feel best in the hand. Lots of people will tell you that you need a longer blade, but you sacrifice a lot of speed in exchange for that length. IMO, and in the opinion of an awful lot of very skilled knifemakers (including Bo Randall and Jerry Busse), 6" is optimal. You can push this to 7" if you have a customer who is absolutely convinced that bigger is better (damnfoolidjits, but they're paying the bills), but that's about the limit for a real fighting knife.

I like it but agree with the dudes-too abrupt point. Also, try a straight version with a wrapped pommel and a curved point. What steel and sheath? It's an eye catcher! One more thing. You can go with a smaller handle if it is known to your customers that the knife was designed as palm- loaded knife. Keep at it!
