Picked this one up from BladeArt a while back. It's really grown on me. I always liked carrying a pen, but gave it up after a few blew up in my pockets. I think I'm safe with one of these.

I've carried one for almost five years now and, unlike its moniker, it doesn't occupy too much space.

The name of the link said BladeArt, but when I clicked it, it took me to TAD

I love these pens. The ones I've bought were the black or chrome. Anybody know how the lacquer finishes hold up?
The burgundy one in John's link looks good (and that's a good price-I think they're normally $30). I really like the looks of the blue ones, too.

I have a black one but it did not come with a pocket clip. Is this normal? Great pen by the way. Nice and compact and is the perfect back up pen in my little kit.

Just a tip: watch the pocket clips. They are an option, they do not come standard, and I would recommend strongly to forego them. The extremely short length of the bullet does not leave enough pen in one's pocket for the clip to secure the pen reliably.

Four guys at work saw my bullet pen and liked it enough to order their own, but they all insisted on getting the clip. Within a week, they had all lost their new pens. Where a normal pen has 4 inches or so in the pocket, the bullet has about half that. It easily works itself out with normal movement and falls away. Just get the standard, high-speed, low-drag bullet, and drop it in your pocket. If you must have a clip, go the next step and order the Astronaut model (I've got one, it's also pretty cool.)

The $14 ones at Staples include the clip but I leave 'em on to keep the pen from rolling when I put it down. But I agree, don't rely on the clip to secure your pen to anything.

The Fisher line of pens and their refills are excellent. I have a Bullet, Explorer and Astronaut models. I ordered my Bullet with the clip but decided to take it off.
Also, if you ever get a refill that globs at the tip, you can mail it back to Fisher with a note and they will send you a new one very quickly. As a plus, it fits in a standard post office envelope so you can mail it from home with a regular stamp.

I don't know if any of you guys use the telescoping model but it is great too . . . all my "standard" bullet pens lost their rotation spots after I got the telescoping model!:D  :D

I agree with Jason.....my telescoping pen has become an EDC for me at work, although my regular bullet pen gets carried when in the woods. It's just too handy to collect dust.

To answer my own question from this old thread:
I got one of the blue lacquer versions ~4 1/2 months ago, and the finish has held up surprisingly well, considering pocket carry with keys and other items, along with being dropped a few times. Up close, tiny dings and scratches are visible all over it, but they are invisible from arm's length. There is some wear under the cap where it rubs, and a small chip from being dropped on concrete. It's far from new looking, but has held up pretty good, all things considered. If I had carried it in a watch pocket, and been a little more careful, there probably wouldn't be a scratch on it. It still looks good enough that it gets compliments all the time (women seem to like it), when I go to sign a receipt, or write a check.
Still like the plain chrome ones alot, too:)
Great pens.

I carry the Bullet as my EDC pen and 2 Basic Militarys on duty. My fellow firefighters try to steal them all the time. :) Yet they call me crazy for spending $15 on a pen. When I write, I write in style. Screw your plastic Bics I say.

Fisher Pens........ya' can't beat 'em.

I picked up my first Bullet (black matte w/clip) yesterday at a gun show, unfortunately I paid a little more for it($22.50), but it's well worth the money. I usually use carry the Dr. Grip Gel, but the Bullet has easily taken its' place as my EDC writing instrument. :D

I just bought a chrome stylus bullet pen at Brookstone's in a local mall. The price was $20.00. They had several, but not all of the models. I would like to know how many times, I can open and close the pen, before that rubber gasket fails to secure the cap. I wonder what the astronauts use the stylus for?
