I have come to the point where I really need to consider storage options for my fixed blade knives. I need to make the most of the room I have available in my gun safe. Any suggestions on space saving storage solutions. I have read pros and cons on plastic plano boxes and would like some input on that if you have an opinion.

Sudonym, A nice problem to have. Knife rolls should also be considered. Be sure to flaten and organize the boxes w/ paperwork so you can identify later which goes with what knife. The boxes and paperwork can be stored anywhere, leaving more room for the cutlery.

I found a guy on eBay who made nice cases and had him make some for me. I buy a couple knives a month, so storage is an issue. I use military tuffboxes (like a big footlocker) and store the cases in those. Each case has a card attached with a description of the knife inside, and they have elastic bands holding the sheaths to the case.
