Well someone asked for a little write up on these when I opened them up so here they are. Both are hair shaving sharp out of the box of course and feel great in the hand. The sheaths seem to made out of decent and thick leather. The blades have a true stonewash finish and are made of thicker stock than a folding skyline. Here are some pics with my normal skyline for comparison.

thank you juju, and stick I am really sorry lol I thought this thread might make you fall off the money saving wagon... I really did take that into consideration before making it :p
 
I actually have yet to buy or own a skyline! I know I know...
 
Man those are some classy lookin fixed blades, I always liked the Skyline's design.
 
i love my FB, although i very seldom carry it. if somebody offered a fitted kydex sheath, i would use it a lot more. ;)

lol Juju that is pretty much kershaw sacrilege, kind of like the fact that I don't own a leek yet :cool:. I'm liking what you did there orange, nicely done.

thanks! don't worry about the leek, i don't own one either... but its not my fault they have never made an orange one. :p
 
I like those fixed blade skylines a lot, I bought one for my cousin a while back and now wish I had got one for myself too. His came shaving sharp too

I keep seeing threads about these, and I am starting to think that I want to get one

hahaha, that must be the one color they haven't made one in. maybe they are just building the suspense...

I'm sure someone here would make one. Tell me more about the texture of the scale on the bottom.
 
The texture on the fb g-10 scales is just like the ones used on the folder, at least felt like it to me.
 
I was the one who asked you to give a quick review. I greatly appreaciate it. Good job comparing to the folder. It looks like the same sheath that came with the skinner and field knife and I consider that a good thing. It should be a good value FB knife. It looks like mine will be in Friday or Monday. I am looking forward to it. Once again, thanks for taking the time to post your initial impressions and the photos.

No problem at all, I think we all like a reason to show off our newest additions. Mine showed up several days before the estimated delivery date.
