flay poll on ax

I believe that our member Budman has used the Gransfors Hunter's Axe with the flay poll. If you search this forum for "flay poll", "Hunter's Axe" or "Budman" you might turn up the thread. Alternatively, you could look up Budman and send him an e-mail.

The essence of his remarks was that it worked very quickly and efficiently, but that it helps to have a partner to pull on the hide as you are flaying. I believe he skinned several caribou or moose, but my memory may not be accurate.
 
The thread was titled "I bet you have never seen an axe this cute" by Bill Siegle. The last post was 2/08/2002 by me. Budman discussed skinning 4 caribou with a flay poll.
