Howdy,

Recently MajorD sent me his Bush Operator to have me make one of my Pouch-Sheaths for it. I gotta admit.... I've had alot of expensive knives in the shop for new pants but this is the first time I thought of asking him how much he needed to keep quiet about it's disappearance:D It was hard send this one back and I figured I'd return the tease by posting pics before he get's everthing back in the mail tomorrow.:p

I can't cut anything with it since it's not mine but the first thing I noticed was the ergo's of the handle were excellent and the finger-guard was perfect too for choking up on the blade. Since this one had red liners he requested red Kydex which I was dying to use since I need to mock up a sheath for an ESEE group buy I'm hosting. Took some extra time to get the red anodized Chicago Screw post and red silicone spacers/bushings but I think it came out great....even ordered a red firesteel and added black shock-cord and a red end/pull for retention.

Here's a pic of the Bush Operator in "all it glory":

The scales on the knife are basically black & red which works out perfectly since my sheaths all have a black back. Here's a nice shot of all the black & red action and a clear view of the channel the sheath has so the blade never makes contact with plastic on the way in or out.... but still snaps in place. You'll notice there's also extra room for the scales to not have to "break" Kydex on the way in either:

One of my favorite's singled out:

Needless to say I've since emailed to get myself put on the "List":) I'm so glad that I can finally justify this kind of to my wife by just saying "it's a business expense"..lol. Fletcher makes a great knife (you already knew that) and now I'm on the hunt for a Hatchula..... hopefully I can pick one up before or at Blade this year.

Thanks for looking,

Eli

That is OUTSTANDING Eli!! WOW! I hope you overnighted that thing back to me!! :D

Eli has been working on this for a couple of weeks for me. He's a class guy to work with!! I'll have to get some additional pics posted once I get it back.

Dave

if you ever get your hands on a hatchula and make a sheath let me know! Ill take one for mine. Cost to much money to ship the knife back and forth from canada

Thanks Dave!, should be in your hands today. Can't wait to hear your feedback/opinion on it.

Will do on the Hatchula.... now I just gotta get my grubby hands on one.

Eli

Crap!! It's stuck at the Post Office overnight. I have to go tomorrow and sign for it. It's going to be a long night ......

Holy shit that sheath is awesome! Great work bro!!

Thanks! Coming from you I feel like I just got baptized a sheath maker.... that's just awesome. My work here is finished:D

I'm still stunned to see my sheaths even when I posted the pics so I'm definitely humbled to hear that from you. Now I need to get my hands on either an XL or Hatchula and a Pocket Kilo so I can make up something like this for it:

That's my current "favorite combo" (ESEE-6/Izula) but I need a Fletcher Knives setup to carry like that and I know the Pocket Kilo is perfect part of a new big/small combo.

Thanks,

Eli

You get your sheath yet Dave?

I finally got the sheath picked up from the Post Office. This thing is absolutely bad ass!! So much better than the pictures can show. I'll try and get a few more pictures up this weekend but Eli's pics are excellent. This is my first sheath from Eli and also the first of many more. The retention is perfect. It's very very secure but the extraction is smooth as butter.... WOW. The attention to detail is as good as I've seen. Like I said earlier he is a class act to work with. I officially have my "go-to" set up now. This combination is just fricken sic!

I just got my Bush Opersator back as well and damn did I miss this thing. This knife is just so comfortable. I've been litterally walking around the house all evening with it in hand. As always Thanks Dylan!!

It's going to be a great season!!

You're lucky you got that knife back too:D
Just kidding thanks for the compliments and I'm looking forward to using any pics you take. Dylan does make a bad-ass knife!

You NEED to try and find yourself a Bush Operator! I'll keep my eyes open for one. Unfortunately they'll be difficult to find now.
