I don't want to double post but wanted to get greater exposure regarding my question with flying with a firearm. Figured there are a lot of gun nuts in here who have experience with this.

Here is the original link I posted the question in.

Thanks for any responses as trying to read between the fine lines can get confusing!

If you break it down, slide in your sock, barrel in your pocket.....

Just kiddin', just kiddin', I have no idea.

must be in a approved case that locks. Must be unloaded. Ammunition must be in a separate case. You must declare the firearm to the airline so they can direct you to TSA for the weapons inspection. TSA then puts your firearm onto the belt system so the airline can then pick it up. The orange tag that they give to go along with the firearm should be put inside the case. Don't let them put it on the outside. IT is a red flag that says here is my gun please steal it. If the Airline wants to put it on the outside request that it be put inside. Also contact your airline to see what they require if anything.

You will not see your weapon at all during your transfer so the Colorado Laws may not be an issue. Most states have a transit clause, so properly transporting through different states isnt usually a issue ( Unless its New Jersey.... buttheads there).

Good Luck.

I'm gonna close this up. If anyone has advice, post it in the original thread linked in the OP.

Spank you.
