I just bought a couple of Emerson SpecWars today! Man, are these things nice! I love the grip... kinda reminds me of a REKAT Carnivour. But the SpecWar fits my hand better.
Opens smooth as silk with a SOLID lock. Nice idea on the ambidextrious thumb stud, as I often carry a blade for each hand.

They are a very nice knife. I had a plain edge satin finish at one time. Like a fool, I sold it. If Emerson starts making satin finish again, I will get another.

I like most of Emerson designs but have you ever notice the big handle to blade ratio? Is it necessary to put the stop pin so far back. Couldn't they shorten the handle by moving up the pin? That is the only thing I have against their designs.

One could also have a smaller spacer at the butt end of the knife to accomodate more blade.

I personally like having a larger handle to hold onto. Sure there could be more blade in there but for certain ocassions I want knives that are a specific blade length and Emerson provides a longer handle for the blade lengths I like.
