For me, it was the Leek. How did you get turned on to Kershaw?

Back in 05 I bought my first Leek. The 1660BG. I was into knives, but the Leek ramped up my obsession like no knife before it. Since then I have bought tons of Kershaw knives. My tastes change over time, but I keep coming back to Kershaw. Here is the knife that changed the game for me. Still going strong.

That is a beauty and the wear even adds a little something to it.

For me it was the Blur. Although, honestly, it was just a knife. I'd had several before that Blur and very very many since. I was just a casual collector and a bit of a Benchmade guy until I first met Thomas and Jennifer at the factory sale and saw the way the entire staff worked for the customer. The thing that stood out most was Thomas marking free on some knives for a young gentleman and tossing a pink knife of some sort to Jennifer to hand out to the fist girl around that kids age. Sure, you want to start them young and it's good marketing, but I've seen very few companies in any line of business treat their customers the way Kershaw does. Good customer service and being a part of the community is the best marketing and Kershaw does it all very well in my experience.

trying to hunt down an orange tyrade is what got me looking through the kershaw offerings. orange cpm-154 blur was my first actual purchase, and the rest is history.

i still don't own a leek but only because it has never been offered in orange, which is shocking considering that there are literally hundreds of leek variations out there. picking up a g10 one and having custom scales made is definitely on my to-do list.

I did not like my first kershaw it was the shallot still have it but never loved it or liked it. Now second was the Blur and that a like and love then the leeks and my favorite of them the skyline.

I can not believe there has never been an orange Leek. I'd say it's just a matter of time.

I was also into benchmade before Kershaw. I'm not into benchmade anymore.

I blundered into Kershaw when I wouldn't know a good knife if it bit me. I decided I wanted a good one and did some researched. Ended up lucking into a G-10 Tyrade mostly because it looked cool. It's still one of my favorite folders.

I bought a Chive in 2000 after reading about Ken Onion and Speed Safe somewheres.

My first Kershaw was a Black Horse that I got as a gift in the mid-80s. I've still got it and it is still a good knife. I've added a few Kershaws since then.

The knife that got me into Kershaw was the s30v Blur. I bought a blem from Kershawguy and I just couldn't put it down!

Since then I have bought a JYD, Salvo and a Scallion.

It started with an S30V Blur for me, but the polished G10 of the Random Task, Ricochet, and Mini Task hooked me completely.

And this one sent me over the top.

Actually it was Kershawguy and this manufacture forum that really got me hooked to Kai

Sharpened a cop's Shallot. Came here (already had Spydercos and Busses) contemplating the 0550 and saw Alphahunter's anticipation thread for the 0560. Hooked.

It started a couple months ago with my first good knife, a blem tanto blur, and from there evolved to a full on knife and EDC hobby.
