My father, is currently visiting his homeland of Argentina. I asked my father if he could keep an eye for traditional Goucho knives. He jokingly said "It will probably say Made in Taiwan" which will probably be the case, since I don't expect him to spend a lot if he does find one. Since I cannot post, I will gladly send a pic if you'd like to see what the modern Argentinian tourist trade is offering.
What I would like to know from you is several things. If he finds one, I would like to see if this is knife has the same basic look of authentic goucho knives. And what I'd also like to know, is Are there other tradition Goucho shapes or is the common one (shaped like a bowie) the only shape associated with the Gouchos.
