No naked blades will be seen here so as not to offend certain parties who have expressed concern, nay, DISMAY, at the exploits of we who make "pants". In particular, he who'se name sounds very much like "hearsped" ;) and delights in torturing us with his culinary exploits.

Then it occurred to me. I've been asked about "piggyback" rigs.
The sheaths you see here are standard designs for 2 different customers.

But are you stuck with one configuration?

I am liking that Brian. Does the desert coating abrade the kydex quite a bit? I haven't made any for the desert models yet, but I was thinking that the rough texture would be like sandpaper.

See, here's the part where I need to be somewhat careful. I'm gonna answer 2 questions at the same time.....Nope.

Oku,
stop it!! You're making me all itchy and nervous with these beautiful pictures. Must get hands on my new blades!:D :D

Nice job man! Have you considered using the smaller eyelets to cut down the sheath's size? I think I may get some of those to try.

I've been thinking about piggybacking for a bit now. That looks good!

Sorry J! As soon as yours arrive, I'll let you know.

Tom, you nasty man, stop it!!

Andrew,

Thanks! I have thought about smaller eyelets but for me the "plusses" aren't proportionate to the "minusses".

There are also a few makers that do "piggyback" or "Kangaroo" style sheaths. I know for instance that David Brown has been doing them for some time. I've used the method in the pics for about 4 years now, but rarely have orders for a "piggyback rig".

My real point with those pics is the compatability of the "carry system" available from Okuden. The sheaths that are shown "piggybacked" are for 2 different customers.

Thanks again to all for the kind words!

Hey Oku! I resemble that remark!:D

More nice work buddy. I'll have to give that configuration some consideration... As for food, well, I'll let you know when I fire up the grill this weekend.

BTW Brian, the GM has attended a few counseling sessions, lots of deep seated issues (inspired by his trip south) have been identified and are being worked out. I will send you the bill on Monday. And just to show that there are no hard feelings and that I am a reasonable guy, I'll take payment in trade. :D

Les,

Thanks for the kind words!

Yes, you do!

Before you start the therapy process. Find out what he was reading during his flights, and , does he by any chance watch M*A*S*H re-runs?

Ain't a gonna talk about "the grill"!!! (you 'ol meany)
