For quality and usefulness, which Spyder looks the best?

I absolutely love the way the Volpe looks. I've going in on the way in trade, and I'm really happy about it.
My favorite regular spydie is the Native, It has a sleek and solid look to it.
Which Spyder turns your eye?

Spyderco Centofante 4 in VG10 Plain Edge Wharncliff Blade .. This knife speaks to me and I am about to buy one... would love to hear about anyone else that has one and if there are any down sides to them

it will be my first spyder

OOPS.... I was supposed to type FORGET quality and usefullness.
Not that there's anything wrong with Spyderco's quality!

I have one and love it. Really thin blade and straight edge that is great for slicing. The FRN is very nicely texture for grip without having to be so rough like G10. And it is a bargain for around $40 or so.

I have one and I think that it is a great knife for the dollars. Besides, I do not like the typical checkerboard FRN handles on so many Spydies. To me, they just look cheap. Even though the Centfante 4 is FRN (I think) its sculpted to look much more expensive.

Now, my personal favorite is my Mini-Persian with the black micarta handle.

Based solely on appearance (although it is also high in quality and usefulness), I vote for the JD Smith.

I am a sucker for CF, so the CF Milillie really turns my head!! And the Adventura!! Both these knives do it for me!! Although I have never handled an Adventura. I DO have a CF Millie.

So far, I like the Byrds... have a Raven coming in soon, and if I had the spare cash, I'd pick up a Cara Cara or Meadowlark. Well. If I had the spare cash, there are alot of spydies I'd be picking up...

The "Q". Uses the worst steel of any Spyderco. The cutouts in the blade make it darn near useless for food prep, which constitutes around 90% of my knife use. Looks like it should have MATTEL stamped on it rather than Spyderco. Prices some of them bring border on the obscene.

And yet, if I take it out in front of a roomful of NKP

- half of them will be commenting on how cute it
- a few will be asking where they can get one
- and, most importantly, NONE will be asking who I'm planning to kill with it

I always wanted to like the Shabaria, but I could never get a good hold of it. IMO, it's the sexiest spyderco ever, but it's just too weird.
In a way it reminds of the Taun-We character from Star Wars Ep.2, sexy, but weird.

I absolutely LOVE my Cento 4, a very good deal for the money. as tim8557 pointed out, the FRN, well...it doesn't really feel like FRN! It feels very nice, and looks classy! You won't regret getting one, I promise you:)
Here's a few pics I made when I got mine in

As much as I ilke the Cent 4, my fave for looks would have to be the Lum Folders, you just about can't get any better!

The original full sized Calypso in linen micarta. A close runner up would be the new centofante wharncliffe

Man thanks for all the response.. I didn't mean to kinda hijack this cool thread.. Those pics were wonderful you posted up on the Spyderco Forum!!!! Thank ya for the link that very much sold me on the knife for sure!    I have to get one now

I held a Native up at wal-mart tonight.. That is another cool looking knife for a good price.. I like the web design that was made into the scales.

Very nice knife assuming you're right handed. The only suggestion I would have is that, if you are buying it to use, you may want to consider rounding off the "point" at the top of the hump a bit. Save wear and tear on pockets, and possibly on your hand if you tend to carry other things in the same pocket and need to reach past it. It's not the only Spyderco with that issue, I did the same thing to my user Calypso Jr.
