For those that don't like "Navy Seals" on their Luminox

Those watch faces look really good, but I wonder. Alot of people buy the Luminox for the tritium dial, so wouldn't the luminous paint on the face be a bit redundant?

That watch face with tritium inserts circling it look the cat's patootey, though. Very cool. I like the little radioactive symbol he uses. :)

Is the Stocker and Yale P650 Navigator's watch. This is contract made in Switzerland for Stocker and Yale and is sold through different names in different continents. Licensing agreements prohibit the sale of all other brand names other than Luminox in the US and only Traser in the UK. As a matter of fact, one could not get a SandY in the US unless you had connections with the military.

Bah! That's right, I completely forgot about Traser. I'm more apt to go titanium in a watch, and the face style is a bit different, but those Trasers would be the option of the "clean" watch.

in Switzerland...
The concept is called the "OEM" or Original Equipment Manufacturer.
The watches are made with different faces and perhaps different movements, but on the same machinery and same workforce. Contracts are cut and signed, and are marketed by different distribution companies.

The difference with www.mkiiwatches.com is that Bill Yao has a sterile military "type" (similar to the SandY 660) watchface installed so that one does not have a watch sporting the "luminox" or "traser" logos.

I own one of Bill's Luminox conversions and only the well trained eye can spot it as a replica.

Those look great. I did notice in a Brigade mag that the Titanium bracelet models were not marked Navy Seals, and only had LumiNox at the top.

Bill Yao ran a number of dials through me prior to his manufacture of them and more important you can buy them one of two ways - Dennis you can sell the watch as I know you have great discounts on Luminox and
Bill if the buyer sends him the watch will do the conversion for less than 25 bucks - a watchmaker charges more to open a watch! Of course it does not interfere with what are called "the peek-a-boo" Tritium
vial lighting in the watch which is great to read time with at night.
If can find a night picture or you have one Dennis perhaps we can post to show others - this is great for law enforcement, hunters and anyone who needs good visibility at night.

It's been on my wrist for coupla years, now. :) Great price for the $$. IMHO. ;)

The titanium seal watch has the SEAL crest on the back, otherwise no "wannabe" markings. Another option is the Marine Series - stainless (fairly heavy), but no SEAL markings (no military markings at all). Nice watch, but the bezel does not have a tritium marker (if that is important to you). Usually more than the plastic watches, but less than the Titanium models.
