Another beauty, Matt. That's a particularly striking specimen of maple as well - the grain has a lot of depth to it.

In my humble estimation, however, there is one thing wrong with this knife - it's not mine

One last thought - though your knives are obviously made to be used hard (your rigorous testing of each blade speaks highly of your commitment to quality) - I can't help but wonder what one of your stylish designs might look like with the added compliment of some well-placed filework or engraving. Just a thought from a very interested customer...

Thanks for the kinds words guys. Im starting to do a little file work, havent been satisfied with the results as of yet. Im hoping to spend some time with Mike Connor, Roger Massey and Jim Crowell at the ABS school later this year.

Also hope to soon spend a weekend or two with my freind John Fitch, i plan on learning some good tips there as well.

That's really got to give a guy a nice warm feeling. Looking at a picture like that and hearing "That's your knife". Makes me all tingly and it's not even mine...

That is one hell of a knife! But there isn't a knife on your site that I don't just love!

You've got that flat grind figured out so beautifully! Looks like the recurve caught your fancy, mine TOO!

Hi Matt,

Very nice looking knife! Would love to compare this one side by side with my Fitch Ironwood Bowie (12 inch blade, 17.5 inches overall). Big bowie heaven doesn't get much better than you and John's offerings.

P.S. - the D2 Sunrise Fighter in Desert Ironwood would go well with this big 'un as it does the Fitch.

What a beauty, Matt. I love Bowies and this one is a fine example. The blade is the shape that I prefer and the handle is a perfect match.

Well done.

Very, very nice. I have been puzzling over which custom maker to contact for my first big custom Bowie, and I think you might be the man.
