I know a lot of my ESEE brethren are kit builders like me. I can not say enough good things about this set of tools!

I recently got my hands on some Bogota Entry Tools: http://jerkingthetrigger.wordpress.com/2010/05/28/review-bogota-entry-tool-set/

The set consists of an ingeniously designed pick and rake (Bogota rake) which can both be used as tension devices. I have used them to bypass every pin and tumbler lock in my house as well as several wafer locks. This is a very compact and efficient tool set.

Edit: The review for the Titanium version is up now too! http://jerkingthetrigger.wordpress.com/2010/06/18/review-bogota-titan-entry-set/

O-yes and I like them..... I will buy a set when funds b/c available.. pretty sweet
thanks for the info

Sweet action.

*Check you local laws on possession of "burglary tools" if you kit gets rifled through for some reason*

I'd still own a set :D

Oh hell yes. “In theory” I mean.

Meant as a heads up for the guys who might buy a set and throw them on the dash of their vehicle not knowing that lock picking equipment is a big no-no in some areas without a license.

I would keep it in my BOB but not in plain sight ...even if bag was dumped out.

I carry a Sweet car kit with bars, shims ,pump bag ETC. to enter Vehicles.....
makes easy cash when peeps are locked out of vehicles.

I hate poorly (and broadly) written laws like that. We have on the books here. The phrase burglery tools is such a joke. They are not burglery tools unless they are being used as such. Until now, I have only used mine for locksport which is a legitimate hobby of mine. It also happens to be a very handy skill for peolpe with our mindset. ;)

Regardless of all that, the main draw of a tool set like this is their efficiency (the Bogota rake has to be used to be believed) and their compactness. They can be pinned any number of places that would be hard to detect. Just do not anything stupid or illegal with them.

those cards all say "robert brown" on them? if they searched your wallet they might think you were an identity thief

still a really cool thing to have in the wallet.

This is what I have started carrying in my wallet. They work really well and are compact: http://www.lockpickshop.com/CC-LOCK-PICK-SET.html

Those are very cool Jeff. Here is another, similar and slightly more full featured take on the same concept: http://jerkingthetrigger.wordpress.com/2010/05/24/toool-credit-card-pickset/

If you look closely you will see that even the metal that is used as the frame for the tools can be broken apart into several different tension wrenches.

These type of credit card kits would be more suited to someone with more experience since they require more skill/finesse than the Bogota Entry Tool Set. The beauty of the Bogota set is the rake. It will open anything that picking will open and do it with less finesse in less time. It is almost like magic once you have a practiced hand.

Nice! i was about to pick a set up after seeing them on ITS Tactical a while back but forgot all about them! thanks for the review:thumbup:

That toool set is sweet. I hope I can get one in an exchange soon.
I came by my bogota set this way. I wear it in plain sight with a safety pin.
People tend to mistake it for some weird modern piece of jewellery.

if you have a old cell phone case/carrier you could build a small Urban kit and wear it like your packing a cell phone or extra cell phone... hidden in plain sight is the best....
