Ok I have another question about NY knife laws.
It says in the NY state law that
Ok what does that mean? Is it up to the police officer to make up the exact definition on the spot? Being a foreign citizen, I'm a bit concerned about this, since I'm sure there's always a chance of running into an officer who believes a 2.9" BM 705 is a deadly weapon - I'm not even talking about a miniSOCOM for example. But these are not weapons! They are tools for God's sake!
How would the police define a "dangerous weapon"?

A person is guilty of criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree when: He possesses any dangerous or deadly weapon and is not a citizen of the United States...
