Well, i know this will probably cause a lot of raised eye brows, but as to the fuel delivery system for my forge, i dont use any regulators. But wait i do have a metering system of sorts, i went to Lowes and bought two ball cock valves, made for fuel delivery, and some copper tubing. I came off my home supply tank (500 gal.)with one ball cock for complete shut off.
After entering the shop, close to the forge i installed the second ball cock. From this i went into a gas grill regulator, the non-adjustable type, again form Lowes. From there i went into my main supply pipe which goes directly into the forge. I connect the regulator to the main pipe via a 1/4 inch pipe nipple. No valves etc... I can control fuel flow at the the ball cock, from a roar that heats my shop pretty quickly to a whisper.
Just my way. Maybe it'll give you some ideas.
P.s. been operating about 9 months now with no problems.
