This one was finished last week. It has an antler, micarta, brass handle. The blade is 3 1/2" long. Any comments you all may have would be most appreciated.

Always think of your fellow knife makers as partners in the search for the perfect blade, not as people trying to compete with you and your work!

So, tell me about forgeing M2 how does it move, things to watch for, is it better than say 5160, 52100?

Thanks for the kind words everyone!! Mike, the thing with M2 is that it is an air cooled steel wich means I had to be really careful not to let it get to cool when hammering. I tried to keep it at least red while the peice was still thick to a deeper red as it thinned down (it started out at 1" dia. round stock.) 5160 moved quite a bit easier under the hammer than the M2, as for as the 52100 I've been having trouble finding ball bearings big enough so I have not had the opportunity to try 52100. I was stock removal only for sometime and have been learning to forge now for about six months. Once again everybody thanks!
