As i am writing this, the House is debating new "guncontrol" measures.

I urge you to go to www.nra.org and read the Lautenberg legislation that passed in the Senate and is on the House floor. This is legislation will definitely infringe on your freedoms, but dont take my word for it. Go the the nra site and read for yourself.

Call your Congressman and tell him your opinion, 1-202-224-3121.

I understand that this is not in the proper forum, however, it is of utmost importance. They will come after knife owners after they get gun owners, it is already happening in other countries.

The lack of vigilance equals the loss of freedom.

The scarey thing is, at this point I don't think it really matters. I honestly don't think anything can be done to stop this witch hunt. I honestly can see, in maybe ten more years, legislation across the board, not just on weapon issues, being so repressive as to make living here unpleasant.

That doesn't mean we shouldn't fight them every step of the way though. And I'd say that this deserves to be here as much as any other thread. Sure, it's all old news, but that's what makes it so scarey, huh?
