Well, yesterday was a little slow, so I got to thinking about the beautiful blade on the JYD II CB (thanks again OE!) and how I didn't really want to use it or mess it up. So I got out my little torx tool, and 45 minutes later, voilà!! Everything matched up perfectly, blade perfectly centered, locks at 100%, and I even got out the flitz and polished everything up. Both open smoother and faster than at first, and I'm a happy guy!

Now I've got the SG2 blade I love on a G-10 handle! To me, it's a perfect EDC now. And the Ti frame and CB are tucked away in the safe!

What do yall think? Leave em as is, or put em back the way their supposed to be? (Sorry for the crappy pics...it was a rush job!)

They look great!
I really like the way that the CB looks on the Ti handle.
I say if your happy with them, leave them how they are now.
I don't have any variations of the JD yet, but i hope to get one (or two or three:D) soon!

Nice job.
You beat me to it. Happy to hear it will all match up.
Nice pix.

Oh yes, leave them as they are.

looks good! nice way to keep the Ti frame and CB in good shape and still carry your JYD 2!

Good idea.
Only switching the blades ? Must be real quality at Kershaw.
Wow,my specbump is shipped today.I can't wait any longer.
That JYD with composite blade could be my next folder.

Yep, all Kershaw knives are interchangeable... at least last time I got high and checked.

If I get a chance, I'll shoot you all a pic of my Ti JYD2 with the composite leek blade. It rocks!:cool:

Waiting on pics..............:p ;)

If you'd rather have the SG-2 on the G-10 handle then go for it.
It doesn't do you any good in the safe.

CPM D-2 is no slouch either, you might want to do some comparisons.

I really like the look of the Composite and ti. Looks great, and it should be really tough. A true Junk Yard Dawg.

Looks great, the only thing that would make me think twice about it is that there won't be anymore SG2 JYD II's and the CB JYD's are regular production.

No problem Kneedeep, I know somebody who has a little stash of Ti JYD II's!!:D

Brad, those both look great!! And they look great in their original setup as well. Looks like you need one more of each.

Cheers,
jon

Yeah, kd, I thought of that too. It (SG2) won't see much pocket time, and I'll probably pick another JYD II Ti/SG2 off the bay in the future. I've seen them around $ 125, which isn't too bad. More than likely, I'll have another JYD II CB by summer's end...depending upon new releases, of course! I've always bought more than one when I really like something! That's why I have 3 MC Ti/ZDP's and a gaggle of Blurs!

Plus I know of a great guy whose started his own on-line store, so I'm sure he'll have one for me when I'm ready!
