Hi all!

I am soon getting my very first custom firction folder. I am looking ideas. I'd be more than happy to see what kinds of friction folder's you guys own and what do you think of them. I am thinking to get one with 2.2" Wharncliffed blade which tang would act as bottle opener and handles would be made out of Micarta, which is pretty traditional material too. I am just looking opinions and ideas and insiprations for handle shape and such. Such folder would be quite sheeple friendly as it lacks locks, even its one hand opening.

I have a custom by mykulmorris here on the forums and I am delighted with it. It is very usable and I have yet to have it try to close on me, if you know how to use a non-locking knife it really isn't an issue. It does tend to be friendly around non-knife folks as well ( I dislike using the s word...to me it is extremely insulting) and in fact many ask about it when the see it.

I think I have seen the one of Absintheur's before. It's a very cool design and great use of an old file. The cap-lifter is cool too. You wouldn't be afraid of laying a few of those around in tool or tackle boxes to keep handy...low tech and practical.

What do you know, I am looking mykulmorris friction folder myself ^^ Absintheur, is that burgundy micarta? I am thinking to get burgundu handle myself with full round end, unlike yours which is slightly thinnening. Could you please put some other knife in size comparision. I want to see bit the handle size bit.
