In the last couple of days I've had occasion to contact a few makers regarding threads of an obviously commercial nature posted here on the forum.
While I realize that it's difficult to be very precise in defining such, I like to go by the "reasonable man rule" as is often used in a court of law.
I support and encourage the success of the knifemakers who populate this forum and bladeforums.com in general, however, this forum is not the one set up for commerce.
Here we like to discuss and review custom knives as opposed to announcing our own particular commercial interests, policies, sales etc.
For those of you makers who wish to advertise, please consider upgrading from a basic membership to that of knifemaker which will allow you to post your work in the "for sale" area of the site.
Also, please feel free to make use of the "gallery" for demonstrating or sharing pictures of your work.
Sorry to have to bring this up at all but it is with the best interests of this forum in mind.
