Tonight is the night to finish my Naginata. About one year in the making, I am on that third model...still. Lets see if I can get this one right.

May I be the woodchuck I want to be! Fullers...here I come!

Just take it nice and easy Dawi and you will get it right. Another thing to remember is they do not have to be Absolutely perfect although the more perfect the better.
The fullers on the YCS are much better on the real deal than they were on the model.
Had the kamis have made them the way I had them the YCS wouldn't have been nearly as good as it is.
You have to give credit where it's due and the kamis will have a pretty good idea of what you really need in fullers.

Convexes on the other hand may take more than one try.;)

Yep!!!!:)
Otherwise why else would it have taken me almost a year to get the Cherokee Rose ready to send to Nepal.
Rusty is right on when he said that it has my dna!!!!
I put everything I had into that knife and now it looks like the real deal is coming. I can hardly wait!!!!!!!:D :D :D :D

Well...right now it looks pretty good. Think 1/2" thick Naginata like thing with a big GS type fuller...one side with a GS fuller right now.

I got bored and went out and ran a few miles with a guy who said he could beat me. (Dont you hate it when you win a bet and the guy cant pay!!!)

Tomorrow we will see how it turns out.

Yep...you are gonna have to get your own shaft. (Besides, knowing Uncle do you think he would ever give anyone the shaft??? )

In previous threads we have discussed the price of shipping really long things (read: 20" blades on a 6' pole), and the lack of lumber in Nepal due to deforestation.

To have it mounted in the US would be really expensive, especially with a teardropped shaft. The cheapest way to do this is with your own 2 hands.

I can mount a short handle to it so that it would be more like a short sword, but then I would be running into the problem of making another Tarwar or Katana varient (Wider shorter thicker and with massive fullers).

Yet again:confused: I dont know. Right now my idea is that I am going to stick with a chiruwa style tang, dead soft, so that you can drill the holes and mount what you want to it.
