Hey,

Does anyone else notice the sign in the background reason, "NAKED", and "EXPOSED"?

Exactly which military installation is this man at?

I can't get the 'puter to enlarge the photo, so I might be reading something into it that's not there. But, I don't think I see the plain groove next to the spine from the bolster to where the blade bends forward. The blade shape looks right the more I look at it. As for the thickness, I can't be sure from the angle. Should we pool our ignorance and vote on it?

The thumb is obscuring the cho, so it's hard to tell exact blade length, but I'd say no more than 12", probably less, smooth blade without any groove, flat spine no more than 3/8" thick.

Blade length is correct for the SN1, however it does NOT seem to have the groove. Probably been in a while?

Craig, the more I look at this blade, the more I like it. (The shape is a little different, and it's handy, but serious size.) Would there be any interest in having a run of these made w/rosewood handle? Maybe a name like the "Gurkha Shave". Whaddya think?!

Well, I think it's too close in shape to the SN1 (which is probably why the soldier is carrying it). So, I'd have to say probably not, as it would sort of "duplicate" what we already carry.
