Hi folks -

I was looking at Tony Bose knifes today on another web site and saw a particularly beautiful one that I had to show to my wife.

It was a smooth bone handles single blade folder, and it just was so beautiful.

My wife looked at it and said ooooooohhhh - that looks like an expensive one!

I asked her what she thought that knife might be selling for.

She thought for a second and said "Oh eighty dollars?"

You should have seen her face when I told her they were asking $2,750 for it lol.....

I thought that was funny.

best regards -

Y'all be careful showing your wife your next purchase.:D

Hi knarfeng

I hear you! ;)

My next purchase is another fixed blade from Stomper at JK Handmade and I just ordered some Spyderco Bugs (one for the wife) to give away.

The Bose stuff is fabulous, but way out of my range right now - I have 4 hungry cars to feed!

best regards -

Just don't let your wife sell your knives in a yardsell. I would crap if my wife let go some customs for 80 bux.

God Bless

Imagine how long the either of Bose's lists would be if you could get them for 80 dollars!!

That is funny. My wife's jaw hit the floor when I told her how much a Loveless knife I was looking at cost. They just don't get it.

Take them to an art gallery and price paintings by contemporary artists, let alone the great masters' that go for millions.

I tell my wife that just about everything costs fifty or a hundred bucks (I tell her that guns are a couple hundred). She buys all the clothes and jewelry she wants, I order stuff and tell her I ordered it "a long time ago" and remind her that I mentioned it at the time.

I sometimes have to slip purchases "under the radar" so giving away the price of a knife I might sometime in the future purchase, is a real no-no.

Mike
