Anyone has any opinions on this particular model?

I have seen a few of this triple sensor G-Shock watch. They look absolutely fabulous.

I was wondering if anyone has a more indepth knowledge of this particular model.

The face of the watch reminds me of The Suunto watches - big..

I have both a triple sensor and a suunto [but there is a newer model]. I've used them on trips to Greenland, Ellesmere island, Antarctica, Patagonia and on less exotic trips as well. The Suunto looks much more attractive and expensive, and the controls are much more logical and easy to operate. But the screen has a terrible tendency to give the wrong time when viewed on an angle. ie, 600 can look like 800 etc. It's very wierd. maybe that was fixed on the newer model. But the g Shock does everything the suunto does, plus its light is much better. The temperature is utterly useless on both if you're wearing the watch.
All in all, I like the Suunto, but the misreading of numbers and the lousy light are definite drawbacks. And it's HUGE. If you don't mind the look of the triple sensor and can get used to the controls, that's probably the better value.

I had one of the older G-Shock Triple-Sensor watches about a year ago, but I had to trade it off, as eventho' the face was large, the numbers, icons, etc. were too hard to see with my old, tired eyes. Also, about the only thing about it that was accurate was the time and date...The compass, thermometer, barometer, etc. were all pretty useless...:(.
