Ok, I know it's weird but I'm curious.

Is there a manufacturer that sells G10 in an adhesive roll form, that can be applied to the exterior of Stainless handles etc?

If not, would you have any other suggestions of something else?

I have g10 handled knives, but my favorites (at this time anyway) have either all Stainless or titanium handles,, but when outside in the winter, they obviously get cold, and I'm trying to find a way to remedy that.

Open to either permanant or temporary solutions, but the key is I don't want a lot of bulk added to the exterior of the handles.

I have also been curious as to whether one of our famed Kydex benders could make a kind of like a snap on exterior for a Frame lock?

Kinda like a "Seb Skin" :)

Thanks,

sp

How 'bout if you cut some leather to fit and glue it on? That's something you can do yourself, and you won't need much leather -- you can cut up an old belt, or an old pair of gloves.

you could try to find some VHB film to permanently fix some G10

if you want something flexible, there's always grip tape

Skateboard tape. (As Hardheart mentioned) Sounds just like what you're looking for.

Had this same problem with a mini-cyclone - just felt slippery compared to the Boa I EDU'd for years. For my use - the black rubbery grip tape they sell for tennis rackets works quite well. Cut the non-adheisive edges off of it and you have a nice grippy - but doesn't tend to catch on your pocket - addition to the metal slab on a knife handle.
I will admit to having some question as to how durable it will be in long haul ( I tend to stick with the same EDU untill I either lose it, break it or something functionaly superior comes along - oftentimes years) and maybe the bigger question is what to use to get it off when you inevitably have to replace the tape.
Is Titanium really impervious to chemicals that would dislove adheisive?

Yes, and so are the other metals knife handles are made out of -- but not plastics, and not wood finishes.

I use 3M safety stair-tread tape. It's hard to find, but it's easily trimmed to shape and sticks like Hell. Works great on my Spyderco Police.

Barrabas, I used a product called AGRIP! It's made for use on firearms and other items inteded for "stressful situations." Translated= it works well with sweaty palms. It's great stuff that feels like suede, wears like iron, and leaves no residue when removed. I bought a sheet of it from Dillon, they sell ammo reloaders and shooting equipment. It's not a cheap fix, but it's exactly what works well on smooth metal knife scales. I stuck some on my Jericho pistol and on my SKS-M's handgrip and the stuff has stood up to a lot of use.

Looks like good stuff! I just wish I could examine it in person/use before spending $30 on a 5x8" sheet of it!

You can get the 3M-stair tape at Home Depot. Its cheep, last a long time, and easily removed when you’re done with it. I have used it on a lot knives and guns.

I know the feeling, I'm not necessarily made of cash myself. I made sure to make a paper template before ever cutting the stuff. Measure twice, cut once...
The only thing I can think of that feels and looks like this stuff is the "poly-suede" that they use on the Mechanix Wear gloves.
