G2 definitely sets the standard in leather sheaths for folders. Great work. The civilians look awesome.

What does the tag on the Civilian say?

Nice sheath but wouldn't the draw be more efficient if the sheath was designed for "hole up/tip down" placement? (I'm assuming the sheath is meant to be worn on a belt). Just wondering.

That might be, but you would not be able to use a lanyard to help withdraw the knife. It is pretty fast the way it is set up.

Hi Ronybear. I must be getting older--I really didn't notice the red lanyard in the photo. I never use a lanyard with my knives primarily because of a lack of personal knowledge in its use. Is there a link that covers this subject? This old dog is willing to learn new tricks.

Thanks.

well, some of it...

This knife was NOT designed as a utility knife. The unique design will not support everyday use and our warranty will not cover the results of using (the civilian as?) a utility knife.

Just a disclaimer.

I forgot to mention... that is a really killer sheath. Kind of nice to see the Civilian in a well made leather sheath, like G2's. I like the design with the web. Very nice work. Way to go Gary!
