How do the blades lie when the knife is closed? I have read some posts saying that all the blades hit the liner. I wouldn't care for this, but don't need perfect centering.
Any photos?
How do you like your GEC model 73 linerlocks? Pros and cons?

I have a GEC #73 Stag linerlock the Blade is perfectly centerd....
Blade is tight, I like mine very well nice F&F all around...

My experiences are about the same. Own a smooth bone 73 linerlock, centered blade, snappy backspring, excellent knife. Perhaps a bit too difficult to open, but it's broken in a little. Oh, and the edge was dull as heck initially.

the only one i've used extensively for game & utility is my mdl.23. no problems with lock centering despite heavy usage. love these knives & i do'nt mind the dullness since i rebevel all my knives.

My guess is that there could have been some early ones that weren't as nice as the current production.
I have a couple of Queen linerlocks. One is OK to open, and the other is very stiff, and requires a bit too much force to open the blade.
Are the GECs anything like the Queens?
