First of all, I would like to thank those who advised me to look into GEC, when I posted a request a couple of weeks ago asking for a recommendation for a traditional folder. I gave several as gifts and the feedback was outstanding. The problem is that now I want some for myself.:grumpy::D

1st question: some knives are "long pull." What does that mean?

2nd question: the legal blade length limit in CO is 3.5". None of the Web shops I've looked at post blade length. Would a Stockman (4 1/8" closed) meet that limit? A Melon Whittler? Which is the largest model with blade under 3.5"?

3rd question: what is the best place to buy?

Thanks again!

1) Long pull refers to the length of the nail nick--longer than thumbnail width.

2) On most folders the longest blade is 3/4 to 1 inch shorter than the overall length, so anything shorter than 4-1/4" closed is legal, 4-1/2" closed #23 Pioneer models have a 3-3/4" main blade.

3) Collectorknives.net and TSAknives.com have good selection and pricing.
