Any thoughts on the newer version of the covert ? Have they worked the bugs out of the design ? It sure is a nice looking knife.

The single ground version is one of my favorite knives. The blade has excellent cutting geometry, and is a lot more versatile for utility than you would think. The handle design makes the knife effective in any grip. It is quite solid, and the LAWKS safety makes it reliable too. Production quality is top notch. It gets regular carry time even though the other knives in my rotation are a couple of Mayo TnTs, the Benchmade 710HS, and the Ralph/Wilson Tactical Elite.

Hi Jim
I've sold many of the coverts and the only problems my customers have come back for was that some of the screws backed out and they lost them. I would suggest removeing one at a time and clean with alchol and add some blue loctite to the threads to keep them from backing out. Other than this minor problem it's a great knife.

I don't know if little knives interest you, but the Mini-Covert which is made from ATS-34 in Taiwan is a cute little thing with a blade big enough to do some real cutting. They are available for under $40.

I'm considering getting one of these knives too. I wasn't aware of any outstanding problems. What are you refering too?

There are a lot of screws holding the liners and handle together. These could be a problem, I guess, but I disassembled my knife when I first got it and put it back together with locktite on the screws. I haven't had a problem with them loosening up on me.
