Just was wondering, does anyone know what kind of steel was used in the Mark II`s that were made in the late 80`s/early 90`s? One source says 440A, another says 440C.

As far as I know, they were 440A. I think the special addition wasp waisted blades MAY have been 440C. Not absolutely sure.

I have a 90's Gerber catalog (poster) in my garage. It does say that the Mark II uses 440A steel. I also own a Mark I that has 440A steel. There was a recent run of Mark II 's that used 154cm. The cost was high and it was a limited run. I wish that I would have bought one back in the day. They're selling really well on EBay.
