Have the tolerances been corrected with the GG&G TID for the Surefire E2e yet?

Anybody know?

Yes, they have been rereleased. Inova X5 models are due in 2-3 weeks, SureFire M2 models are due by the end of next week. More models soon to come.

Kevin

wow, i didn't know they were making one for the x5 too, that's pretty badass. i wonder if you could put one on both sides.

pjenkins00, as if the X5T didn't look scary enough already! :) I love the metal front plate 5 barreled demon flashlight look. Now with a GG&G, it'll be a mofo scary light. KAKAKAKKAKA. Must control myself.

I believe I've seen a picture of it, that thing is EVIL!

I'm sold!

Any other places to buy one besides tadgear? Am I looking at $40 no matter where I go?

I think 1 Stop Knife Shop carries them. They're a more reliable dealer than Tadgear from what I've read.

We've got 20 due in any time from GG&G - we're not taking preorders (yet) but will be shortly.

FYI, there will also be models for the SureFire M2, and several others as well.

Grapevine, have you ever bought anything from TAD? Do you believe everything you read? Why don't you buy something from them and see for yourself?
Every company has had problems and always will. I'll bet you even onestop has had problems.

No, I have not bought anything from Tadgear. You're right that every dealer has problems once in a while. We go to forums such as these to gather information and opinions from other hobbyists. I gathered mine from reading this and other forums. Enough negative chatter about Tadgear for me to choose a different dealer for a product if the other dealer also has had good reviews and carries what I was looking for at a competitive price. If TAD is the only place that carries something and I wanted it enough I'd have no problems trying them out.

I don't believe everything that I read but I do give great weight to fellow members' opinions, as long as those members seem level headed.

Wow, that's the best you could find? A few threads from 2000 and one from a guy from Indonesia who wasn't charged and didn't read our terms & conditions regarding international orders? Amazing. Maybe I should bubble up the threads that TAD did where they made me out to be a Nazi, or reference some of the other niceties we've been on the receiving end of from them? Oh wait, I don't need to make someone else look bad to shift the blame off for my own actions.

Instead of trying to trying to make yourself look better by tossing crap on us, how about you try to improve on your own problems. We're not the ones insulting customers who cancel orders - or accusing them of being someone else. We're not the ones calling the "fire brigade" trying desperately to get someone to stick up for us. And we're not the ones who got caught with their hands in the cookie jar.

You do your own thing - leave us out of it.

Kevin

Kevin, I think you have been on the Internet long enough to realize that these little pissing contests between competing vendors only wind up making both parties look immature and unprofessional.

Oh and this spiky flashlight thingy has got to be the silliest "tactical" product I've seen come down the pike in quite a while.

Kevin, I'm not gonna let you get me into a pissing contest where you will ban me. I was just giving quick examples based on the search profiles I entered.

I don't have anything to do with the Nazi comment, but I believe it was a joke. Bad? Maybe, maybe not.

BTW, I have had good sevice from both companies prior to getting into the 'business'. I ordered something from one stop at around 8pm their time and my order was filled quickly.

I had a knife go bad after having it for 5 minutes and TAD exchanged it for a new one.

***********

Grapevine, what 'negative' chatter made you decide not to buy from TAD?

I didn't mean for my simple question to start such a fight! :(

I have heard many good things about both 1SKS and TAD, and I'd have no second thoughts about buying something from either of them. However, I need some things from 1SKS, so I'll probably just toss the TID on top of my order there.

I'll gladly check out TAD later. :)

I don't know how the gun laws are in your state, but in California I am not allowed to carry so I must settle on edged weapons and the TID is faster to deploy than any knife.

If someone used one on you, I'm sure you'd change your tune!

It looks like a great alternative to more lethal force.

TAD and 1SKS, I'd have to say that both have been very favorable so far.

If everyone that has had favorable dealings with either or both, posted here to that effect, there wouldn't be enough bandwidth for this website to handle it. But, as it is, people seldom post on every favorable transaction. (thank goodness!)

Therefore, the very few negative posts seem to get undue attention. That's a shame.

Management philosophies aside, both retailers do a fine job of supporting their customer base, and have great products for sale, as those products become available.

For those of you that wonder where the hostility comes from, let it be said that there are some serious 'differences of opinion' here on how a business should be run.

This alone, is not our concern, nor should it be. Our job, as customers, is to support the business' that meet our needs, not to feed the flames of dispute or make disparanging remarks.

That said, the GG&G was 'demo'ed' for us up at TAD a few weeks back, and ye verily, this little device kicks ass! So, whether you believe in use of 'less than lethal' defensive devices or not, we're buying one...because we believe, and that's what's important to us.

Our choice of supplier for our defensive needs is ours alone, as should be yours, but there is no need to be rude here folks...either by the retailers or the customers.

As with everything else in life...speak from experience, or don't speak at all.
