How can I tell the value? The person I bought it from said it was made in 1976. I know he has many cheaper production knives now but this one is supposed to be one of his earlier designs. Thanks, Rich
The first person I thought of that could help you with your question is Mike Turber. Mike has quite a collection of Hibben Knives, and is also a good friend of Gil's. Unfortunately I don't think Mike reads the Forums.
As a second choice I would suggest you also post this question on Bernard Levine's Forum.
I believe his handmade knives carry only his logo while the production knives should also say something like "United" or the name or logo of the company producing them. Depending on the type of knife you have, I would guesstimate the value in the $300-700 range.
