Good Evening To All,

Just saw this on Echo-Bay and wondered if this would be considered a good purchase. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280190115345&_trksid=p2759.l1259
It's supposedly a pre-production model made from A-2 Steel.
Just got a small bonus at work this week and it's burnin' a hole in my wallet.
My wife says she wants to pay bills, but I want a new Hawk!
I'd love to have a K5 or Hayes Montana Hunter, but neither are available right now....
I have an HB Forge Hawk, a CS Norse Hawk, and I'm in the process of modding a CS Pole Axe. I would really like to Axe/Hawk of a higher caliber/quality.
...any thoughts??

Thanks,
Kevin

They are more of a hunting axe than a woods axe. It is from the first group of Glen Eagle axes made by BRKT (there will be a production run coming up shortly). Everything with the BRKT name on it is quality but just make sure that you know this is more of a dressing/game processing tool than a woods tool. That said, if you break it, they will make it right. They have great service.

You might want to post some questions over on the Bark River forum at Knife Forums. You will find a lot of good info there.

Good luck on your quest!
