Whos seen the cheapest global needle Compass?
I like the MC2G baseplate with sighting mirror, but as long a si can use it with a map, something more frugal would do.
and

Who's bought the new LED head for their Surefire flashlight?
I own the C3 model light and after checking out pricing i'm confused. I'd buy the HardAnodized for my light to match color, but i see thier are 2 or 3 diff. heads u can choose. Anybody got personal exp with these new heds?
And Battery times after using new heds?

The M60 was made for 2 and 3 cell lights, it is the best drop-in you can buy.

If you wanted to spend the money you could get the MC-E model and have over 500lm of blinding light.

500ml is awesome but surefires drop-in costs the same i think(correction 150-200 lumens). I'm gonna call malkoff 2morrow

I don't have the MC-E but I do have the others installed in all of my surefires. You would get HOURS of runtime with the 3 cells and a standard M60 and you can also use rechargeable 17500 Li-ion's to save on the cost of batteries. The standard M60 has a output of 230+ lumens and the optic produces the best beam pattern you will ever see, perfect mix of throw and flood.

You could also use these batteries with many different incan lamp combos.

they only list the two cell lights under each lamp description.

does installing on a 3 cell simply result in longer run time? and there is no worry of overload?

From the FAQ...
It is also compatible with Surefire's 3-cell counterpart in these models only with the primary batteries (not rechargeable batteries due to an increase of voltage with these batteries).

The surefire P60L led lamp will work in 3 cell P,C,D,Z series lights. This will give longer runtime,no difference in brightness.

The surefire module is OK but nothing special, Its output is only 80lm and has thermal regulation (decreases the output as it heats up). The runtimes would not be as long as a malkoff of similar output(M60LL) and he does not use a thermal regulation so no loss in output. The M60 drop-in would still give you more than 2 hours of regulated output at 230+ lumens.

MORIMOTOM, Usually they just tell you the voltage input with custom flashlight stuff as you can use many different battery set-up's.

Batteries able to be used:
2xcr123
3xcr123
2xrcr123
2x17500
2x17670
2x18500
2x18650
