The pocket pouch idea by 300 Bucks is good and so is the bandana idea. I have had problems with other types of pants except jeans, also, in this regard. In about 1959 or so, I was up in the "Bullet," a ride at the carnival in the county fair, and the carnies would jack the car around with their hydraulic controls, to shake the goodies out of the pockets of the folks "upstairs." They got my yeller stockman knife; I saw them grab it up off the ground, through my window. On a sidenote, my grandfather's sister's husband's brother was the original Dickie who started the pants company. They still have a company store in Gatesville, Texas.
