Hello all,
My gf is heading over to Israel this summer and wants to bring/carry her knife (BM Grip). Obviously she wont be getting on the plane with it, but once there, she has no idea about the legality of carrying such a blade.
Anyone know conceal/size/place restrictions?
Thanks for any info.

Sorry that I have no answer to your question, but was wondering if you were just sightseeing?

Thanks.

My gf is going to an all-girls Yeshiva for a few months to study and I will be visiting her when she is done to get a feel for the country (where she is begging me to move with her  ).

My memory isn't that great on this issue anymore, but I seem to remember carrying knives was ilegal there without a permit or being in the IDF, etc..
If she was an Israeli and an IDF soldier it would be different I think.

She might get away with a multi-tool though. But I would ask an Israeli who knows these laws well.

Last time I was there I remember carrying a large cold steel voyager tanto. But I was always with a buddy of mine, a soldier(special focres unit), so at the many checkpoints I'd hand him the folder, we'd pass through, and then he'd hand me the knife back later.

It'll be different for your gf.

However, all is not lost for you if you decide to live there. Once you become an Israeli citizen you can apply for a gun permit after you take some training(as far as I know), in which case you can and are encoureged to carry your full auto UZI in public at all times.:)

Like in all countries, there's good and bad aspects with the laws.

In anycase I wish you and your gf the best of luck, and I recommend asking an Israeli who knows about these laws very well.
