Here is the update we emailed out to all of our dealers today. Please note that these will be slow to fill the back order pipeline to start with. The first ones to go out will be the contest winners and individual knives, then the dealer orders. I know all of you are wondering who will be the first dealers to get their knives. It looks like Bohn Distributing and KnifeWorks will receive their shipments first since they turned in the very first orders for RC-6 knievs, then directly after that will be One Stop Knife Shop, Knife Center, and Moteng. We are shipping in the order we received the orders.

Begin email update:

We will begin shipping limited numbers of RC-6 knives (orders) beginning next week. At this stage we will only be shipping about 50 units at a time due to other RAT production on our lines. We will ship these in the order they were ordered from us. IMPORTANT NOTE: If you ordered RC-6 knives with the MOLLE back (-MB designation) these will not be shipping and we have no projected date when these will be available. If you wish for us to replace these with the standard model (without MOLLE back) please notify us via email as soon as possible, otherwise we will be canceling your order for all RC-6 knives with the -MB designation. Once we have worked out a definite supplier for the MOLLE back we will re-open the -MB models for purchase. We will correct pricing on any changes made to your order.

If you have RC-3 and RC-4 knives on order with us, those will begin shipping the end of this week.

If I didn't already have two RAT-7s, I'd get one, but so far my Ontarios are holding up. I did put off getting a RAT-5 for the new SERE, though. I bet that RC-6 is a fine knife.

Awesome I hope you guys will be sending a few to JDee at Rustic Forge here is Aus.

Just bought a Rat7 so I knew they'd be out this week. It's the old 2005 collectors horn handle model so I imagine you guys were reimbursed properly back when the dealers bought them.

Gotta say, the Rat7 is pretty mongo. I'd think the slightly smaller RC-6 will be a better handling knife.

I think everyone is going to be impressed by the handling of the RC-6. For a large knife it's balanced really well.

OoOOh.... I like the sound of that. The handle on that thing is made for me :D

Jeff, do you know how much does the serrations take up on the blade? Judging from the pictures, it's about 1.75? Is that close?

I don't have a sample here to measure by, so I'm scared to confirm or deny that ;)
