I had a great week last week regarding uses for my 43. I used it for several things. I used it to cut my door open when it was frozen shut, I used it as an ice pick to break the 1.5" of ice on the dog's water bucket, and I opened about 60 damn boxes yesterday trying to fond stuff in storage. Not a bad week. What uses have you guys found?

My old Swat has:

Dressed two Whitetail
About 5 rabbits
Opened a houseful of boxes when we moved
Cut loose strings off clothing
Shaved (hey, we were up north)
Been flipped like a madman
Used to reach a fallen nail behind the couch
Cut my food
Cut rope about 400 feet up (rock climbing)

Thats about most of them, of course the other small daily tasks such as envelopes, etc.

Hey Mykl, sounds like your livin' in Canada and not Texas. I never remember it freezing at this time in Texas. Not at least in the 8 yrs I spent in Austin.:D

Freak cold snap, it's been getting into the 80's again. Just lasted two days, but yeah it was very weird i perfer the 120+ weather myself.

Cool!!
Well my Rostfrei (Not very known brand) was very useful for:
Cutting the christmas series of lightbulbs and openning boxes too.

Soul,

Not sure if I'm the right person to be telling you this but Rostifrei is the German word meaning Rust Free, or Stainless steel in English. It is not a brand, but a stamping to let the user know what kind of steel was used. They are usually made in China and are of poor quality. They have weak pivot pins, cheap blade steel, and often cheap cast handles. They are not very reliable for daily usage and or often sold at flea markets.

They are okay to learn on, but I wouldn't want to carry one as a daily user. A Jag would be a step up since they are made a bit better.

Yeah
On that your right I bought it in a flea market in like 12 bucks and since I'm learning I really don't care about the quality so at this point it really doesn´t matter wether it's cheap or not cause I´m planning on getting a benchmade. The "Rostfrei" is just for learning and not for f***ing up a good, expensive balisong.
But Thanks for the TIp I really didn't think it was good balisong, starting because it was really cheap.
Thanks
